Popular Pathos

With brevity--things in the Parenthetical world are looking beautiful and bleak in equal measure: the (((GRRRLS))) record is finally in the process of being pressed to CD for the first time (Digitally [c]Remastered!), with Jherek's "O Mix" on the disc itself, and Jamie's "X Mix" featured as high quality MP3s in an enhanced format. Additionally, the disc will feature the track "Inspirational Shortpants (avec paroles)," a brand new, "finished" version of "Inspirational Shortpants." The street date is April 25th, but hopefully I'll have the Slender Means Society website up, operational, and ready to mail order by February. Finally. Additionally, the little Zacs on the CD seem a lot less creepy to me than the big Zacs on the LP.

Additionally, Parenthetical Girls' sophomore album, entitled Safe As Houses, is completely finished with the exception of mastering. Ten tracks, innumerable solos, and a little less echoplex. Also: very depressing. It should be released on Slender Means Society sometime in April.

I really have no idea when we will be able to tour behind any of these developments, as the extended family is pretty extenuated until Summer time--there are minor hopes for a trip 'cross the Atlantic before then, but those hopes seem to be dwindling by the day. God, I want to get out of Portland. Anybody want to be my band?

cordially,
zac

p.s.--I know I never update this thing, and that it's fucked up for most everyone but Safari users, but does anyone actually ever read this? Not pandering--just curious.

I come to this site with regularity, but usually just to look at the pictures of myself. Keep em coming!
ps I will go on tour in March if you can acquire a full-length vanity mirror and employ a foil to man it for our performances.

i usually have badgered any news out of you before it makes it to the site, but i still end up reading it anyway.

if i end up able to save any money whatsoever in the next couple months, i'll tour with you. if shit isn't already over my head, which it just might be.

Like Sam, I usually visit this website to look at pictures of him. Wham. I enjoy the "what a girl wants"/"needs", most of all.

if you still need the life persuit, its all over indietorrents.

where can i get your lyrics?

Posted by: colin michael at January 24, 2006 01:17 PM

Hey Colin—

Thanks, I've acquired the Life Pursuit, and marginally enjoy it. As for lyrics, I'm not too keen on putting them in our records nor posting them on this site, but I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you might have.

Thanks!
zac.

I like to know what's happening with the 'Girls. Also, I'll admit, I like to see a particularly "zac" phrase that would, if checked, generate zero google hits.

hello zac. i just have some fairly trivial questions now.

1. will cftpoz continue to exist and be magical?

2. consdiering college terms are drawing to a close, what are the chances of a show?

3. when you are free, could i possibly get lyrics to C-86, Love Connection, or Puritanically Yours?

4. do you have the ability to check how many visits to this page to know how much it is read?

feel free to respond via email or on here, whichever works. thankyou.
