At long last, Christmas With Parenthetical Girls is finally complete. Though perhaps not the feel good hit of the winter that was Christmas With Swastika Girls, I've spent a great many hours working in a closet alone to finish this recording. Please accept this as my gift to you, however late in coming.
No other Parenthetical Girls were harmed in the making of this recording, sans Junior Varsity members Rebecca Carlisle-Healy and Rachael Jensen. Additional Thanks to Mr. Adrian Orange for percussion.
Another Year
Though in a perfect world I would have had the foresight to have completed this project as a christmas present, the calendar page has passed me by—as such, and at the risk of devaluing the potential of my work, please let me know if you would like a proper copy of this Extended Playa, and I will see what I can muster.
thank you for your patience.

Posted by: Vinnie Lazzario at December 24, 2004 11:39 AMi have loved everything that i've heard from you.
i've threatened my local indie shop cd retailers... i'm not cool enough for vinyl. ' cd's? maybe.. dammit.
Oh Zac. This one time I talked to you at a mount eerie show in chicago, because I really wanted your music but my record player doesn't work, and, SO SAD, it still doesn't. and my computer also has the mad viruses, and in addition I have dial up. BUT I WANT/NEED YOUR MUSIC. so basically, you should tape the Parenthetical Girls LP for me, and get me these Christmas songs somehow, too. I'll pay you. Please!! I've been needing your sounds since August. All I have is the songs on the Own Zone comp. Save me.
Love,
Eryn
Dear Nice Dudes who like the P Girls,
It should be noted that when the Parenthetical Girls LP is ordered from States Rights Records it comes along with a CDR of the album.
Jus' sayin'
Zac, just downloaded the first song on this awesome Dell connected via dial up up here in this vacation mountain home and I'm blown away friend. BLOWN. AWAY.
Oh Zac...I moved to Seattle to be nearer the girls and what happens? You bloody move to Portland. What can i say...these three songs are just the icing on the cake to a year in which that incredible LP first hit my ears. Beautiful sweet lullaby music. :)
Posted by: kristen at December 27, 2004 12:28 AMHey buddy. I can not tell you how happy it made me to see "Hey! Christmas! Part III (reprise)" listed on this site. You fucking took it there, and I salute you. I can't wait to get home and listen to these. I am sure they are spectacular. I love you oh so much.
Posted by: M. Ritchey at December 27, 2004 11:11 AMOH! Did the LP always come with a CD? Or is that a new thing? Okay, I can just buy it now. Thanks Mr. Schroeder!
Posted by: eryn at December 27, 2004 07:34 PMLovely job, Zac & Rebecca & Rachael & Adrian. I would even go as far as to say these songs are considerably more delightful than the last Xmas EP. I am in. Now throw up a CFTPA link before somebody gets stabbed in the eye with a jingle bell.
Posted by: you-know-who at December 28, 2004 01:17 AMThank you, friends, for your nice words. Especially you, Vinnie Lazzario—if this is the same Vinnie Lazzario i remember from back in the neighborhood.
CD friends eryn and marioboy—it is true that Steve Statesrights has, of late, been including the occasional CD-R of the album along with the LP. Though this has been without my authorization, however, and may equate to piracy. I'm still speaking with my ASCAP.
Mister Ashworth: get a website.
Posted by: Zac at December 28, 2004 03:33 PMWhat the hell, new songs?! Well they sound good BUT... I would have appreciated a little sentimentality on your behalf. Couldn't you have at least gotten some Portland art-bum to conger up a reasonable facsimile of a drunken Eric Yates slurring into the mic? You can’t tell me there’s no Portland Yates dude…
Hahaha, remember when he was standing up recording his vocals, drink in hand, wobbling around, on the brink of disaster? Meanwhile we’re all on the couch trying our hardest to not laugh out loud and mess up the recording. Man, those were the worst vocal tracks ever.
Ahhhh, it just ain’t Christmas without Yates spilling a drink on you. Anyway, good job and Merry (belated) Christmas.
